You may or may not have come across a pair of Amina Muaddi shoes. You'd know if you had though; they're candy-coloured, rhinestone-encrusted, infused with feathers. They feature anything from unusual martini heels (a signature of the brand) to thigh-high purple latex. It's like Carrie Bradshaw's shoe closet on crack.

The Jordanian-Romanian designer's eponymous brand has been making major - major - waves since its launch in 2017; her pieces are stocked everywhere from Bergdorf Goodman to Harrods. Her pieces have been worn by the likes of Bella and Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevigne, and Rihanna - the latter of which just asked Muaddi to come aboard the Fenty design team, the designer revealed in an interview with Footwear News.

Rihanna has worn Muaddi's shoes several times in the past. The popstar's stylist Jahleel Weaver, originally reached out to Muaddi to let her know that he'd bought a few pairs for his client, who as it turns out was so impressed with the pieces, she recently hired Muaddi to work on the footwear for her Fenty collection. The freelance gig is one of several on Muaddi's plate; she's also currently working with Alexandre Vauthier.
